Website Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 15 October 2026
Last Updated: 15 October 2026

Welcome to Otermans Institute.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our public website at www.oiedu.co.uk (the “Website”). By using the Website, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue using the Website.

1. About Otermans Institute

The Website is operated by Otermans Ins Edu Ltd, trading as Otermans Institute (“OI”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

Otermans Institute develops AI-enabled learning technologies and human capability development solutions for governments, institutions and organisations. These Terms apply only to our public Website. They do not govern our OIAI learning platforms, mobile or desktop applications, learner accounts, or institutionally delivered programmes, which may be subject to separate terms and agreements.

2. Use of the Website

You may access and use the Website for lawful informational, educational, research and business-enquiry purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the Website for unlawful, fraudulent, misleading or harmful activities.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its servers, databases or connected systems.
  • Introduce malicious software, disrupt the Website or interfere with its security.
  • Use automated systems to scrape, extract or collect substantial Website content or data in a manner that infringes OI’s rights, breaches applicable law or unreasonably interferes with the Website.
  • Misrepresent your association with, or endorsement by, Otermans Institute.
  • Use OI’s protected materials, branding, software or proprietary information without appropriate authorisation.

Nothing in these Terms restricts lawful research, quotation, accessibility activities or any other use permitted by applicable law. We may restrict or block access where reasonably necessary to protect the Website, our organisation, users or legal rights.

3. Intellectual property and permitted use

Unless otherwise stated, the Website and its original content are owned by Otermans Institute or used with permission from the relevant rights holders. This includes OI’s name, trademarks, logos, designs, graphics, text, photographs, videos, publications, research materials, educational content, programme descriptions and other protected materials. The Website may describe OI’s AI systems, learning platforms, implementation models, methodologies, reporting tools, verification systems, Human Capital Infrastructure frameworks and other proprietary technologies or processes. Making information about these assets publicly available does not transfer ownership of them or grant any licence to the underlying software, technology, intellectual property, confidential know-how or proprietary systems. You may view, reference, share links to and make lawful use of publicly available Website content. You may also download materials where the Website expressly permits it.

Unless authorised in writing or permitted by law, you must not reproduce substantial protected content, modify or commercially exploit OI materials, redistribute proprietary documents, misuse OI branding, or present OI’s protected work as your own. OI’s name, logos, certificates, branding or other official identifiers must not be used in a way that falsely suggests partnership, accreditation, sponsorship, endorsement or institutional approval.

Third-party content remains the property of its respective rights holders.

For permissions or licensing enquiries, contact info@oiedu.co.uk.

4. Accuracy and use of information

We take reasonable care to ensure that information published on the Website is accurate and reasonably up to date. However, Website information is provided for general informational purposes and may change over time. Descriptions of projects, partnerships, programmes, capabilities, learner reach, research findings, future plans and other activities reflect the information available at the time of publication, unless stated otherwise. Information concerning planned or proposed activities does not guarantee funding, availability, implementation or future results. References to governments, universities, funders, organisations or other partners do not imply endorsement of all OI products, statements or activities unless expressly indicated. Nothing published on the Website constitutes a binding commercial offer, financing commitment, contractual guarantee or professional advice unless expressly stated in a separately authorised written agreement. Formal commercial, technical, financial and delivery commitments will be governed by the relevant signed contracts or written agreements. We may update, correct or remove Website information as appropriate.

6. Privacy and cookies

We respect the privacy of individuals visiting the Website. Personal information collected through the Website is handled in accordance with our Website Privacy Policy. Cookies and similar technologies, where used, are managed in accordance with applicable law and our published cookie information and controls. Our Website Privacy Policy explains the types of information we collect, why we process it, when it may be shared, applicable data protection rights and how to contact us. The privacy policies for OIAI applications and institutionally delivered programmes may be different from those applying to this public Website.

7. Website availability and security

We take reasonable steps to maintain the availability and security of the Website. However, we do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or error-free access. We may update, suspend, restrict or withdraw Website features or content for maintenance, security, technical, legal or operational reasons. Users should take reasonable precautions to protect their own devices and internet connections.

8. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. We do not seek to exclude responsibility for losses caused by our breach of applicable legal duties. To the extent permitted by law, OI is not responsible for losses arising solely from events beyond its reasonable control, unauthorised interference with the Website by third parties, or use of general Website information for purposes for which it was not intended, where OI is not legally at fault.

For users accessing the Website in a business capacity, OI shall not be liable for loss of profits, anticipated savings, business opportunities or indirect business losses arising from use of the Website, to the extent such exclusions are lawful and reasonable. Nothing in these Terms limits statutory rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable law.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our Website, services, legal obligations, security requirements or organisational operations. Updated Terms will be published on the Website with a revised date. Where changes materially affect users’ rights or obligations, we will take reasonable steps to provide appropriate notice. Updated Terms apply prospectively from their effective date and do not remove rights that users have under applicable law.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory legal protections applicable to users in other jurisdictions. The courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, without restricting any mandatory rights that consumers may have to bring proceedings elsewhere. We encourage individuals to contact us first so that concerns can be addressed appropriately.
